Customize your Easel experience with the Easel Toolbox! Your Easel Toolbox is a personal collection of your favorite bits and materials that are readily available for your CNC projects. You can access the Toolbox from the toolbar at the top of the page when a project is open.
If you've purchased bits and materials from the Inventables store, you can add them to your Toolbox for quick carve set-up. Once you add Inventables bits and add Inventables materials to your Toolbox, they will be available in the project set-up menus for past, present, and future projects.
It is also possible to add custom bits and add custom materials to your Toolbox, even if they aren't from Inventables. This is useful if you have bits or materials purchased from local vendors or specialty retailers that are exclusive to your projects.
All Easel and Easel Pro users can carve using Inventables bits and materials added to their Toolbox but only Easel Pro users can carve using custom bits and materials in their Toolbox.
Easel users will need to buy an Easel Pro subscription if they want to carve with custom bits and materials in their Toolbox.
Bits and Materials
In the Bits and Materials tabs, you can add, edit, delete, filter, and sort the bits and materials saved in their Toolbox. You can switch between a list view and a grid view. From the list view, you can adjust the sorting of the bits and materials based on the different details, like the type of bit or material.
In all sections of the Toolbox, the ability to add new options is found in the upper right portion of the window. Please refer to this support article for more information on adding new bits and materials to your Toolbox.
Cut Settings
Your Easel Toolbox is even more useful when paired with Easel Pro's Saved Cut Settings feature. Easel Pro subscribers can save custom cut settings so they are automatically applied to future projects by confirming the cut settings at the end of a successful carve.
You can also add new Cut Settings directly from the Toolbox. Any project in your library that uses the same bit and material combination will automatically load your saved cut settings.
We have also included a link to our Calculating Cut Settings Guide in the Toolbox to make it easy to calculate and review custom cut settings.
Machine Profiles
The new toolbox can also be used to manage machine profiles. If you have multiple machines or multiple profiles for the same machine, this should help!
Here, you are able to add or uninstall machine profiles. You can also reference when each profile was added and the number of cut settings associated with the profile.
Free users have access to one machine profile and can uninstall it at any time to use a different machine. The ability to add and save multiple profiles to an account is only available to Easel Pro users. Please refer to the linked article for more information on Multiple Machine Profiles.
