Custom bits and materials added to your Toolbox automatically appear in the bit and material dropdown menus when setting up your project.
Easel and Easel Pro users can add any Inventables bits/materials added to their Toolbox. Both Easel and Easel Pro users can carve with Inventables bits and materials at any time.
Easel and Easel Pro users can also add custom bits and materials to their Toolbox. However, only Easel Pro users can carve with custom bits and materials. You can carve with custom bits and materials if you have an Easel Pro monthly or annual subscription.
This is how Easel Pro users can carve with Inventables and custom bits/materials added to their Toolbox:
1. After adding a bit (or material) to your Toolbox, navigate to the bit (or material) dropdown menu above the preview pane in Easel.
2. Click on the bit (or material) you want to use for your project.
3. If you are using a custom bit and/or material, make sure to input the custom cut settings for your bit. Feeds and speeds recommendations are often provided by the bit manufacturer.
a. We have a helpful article on understanding feeds and speeds if you need help. You can also watch our Carving Bits 101 Easel Live class to learn more about different bit settings.
