While it seems easy to convert your machine from the 500mm or 750mm size to the 1000mm X-Carve size, it can be expensive and will require a lot of time: you are essentially building a new machine. You should expect to put the same amount of time into upgrading your machine from 500mm or 750mm to 1000mm as you did into building your machine.
As we've improved our offerings, unfortunately, we no longer offer all the parts necessary to complete these upgrades. It is also important to note that X-Carve is an open-source machine, and all of the components can be sourced externally. We have 3D models and drawings available in a GitHub repository here.
Our official recommendation to consider the efficiency and cost of purchasing a new 1000mm X-Carve.
If your machine was purchased before October 2016, you'll also need to upgrade your machine's controller to the X-Controller.
Please also ensure that your machine has the correct mounting holes for the new drag chain brackets. If not, you'll need to purchase 2 x Gantry Side Plates and the X Carriage Extrusion.
