Congrats on designing an awesome Easel project! We're thrilled you want to share it with the Inventables community, whether on our Projects page or on the Forum.
Sharing your Easel file allows other users to carve your file with their X-Carve. By default, all Easel projects are private. This means no one can access your Easel file, even if they have the URL for your file.
In order to share your Easel file with other users, you must make your Easel project sharable. You can make your project sharable from within Easel.
Open the Easel file you want to share. Navigate to the main navigation bar at the top of the program. Click File > Share. Set the file's share settings to "Shared with link" so that anyone with the link can open the project.
Double-click the link to select the URL, then use command+C (Mac) or Ctrl+C (Windows) to copy the link to your computer's clipboard. You can also right-click on the URL and select "Copy" to copy the URL. Once copied, you can paste the link anywhere you want to share it.
Make sure to hit "Save" to save your settings.
(Note: you can also make an Easel project private again from this same menu. Simply select "Not shared" and your URL will be private, even if you shared it previously.)
Sharing your file does not mean other users can edit your original document. In order to use your Easel design project, a user must copy the file into their own Easel account. This allows users to make changes or modifications to the file's design, material, bit selection, or cut settings.
Once your file is sharable, you can create a Project page and share it with the Inventables community!
