Stepper motors aren’t getting enough current (2015 X-Carve and previous)

Jog the machine long distances, ensuring the machine runs smoothly

• Adjust the potentiometer for the corresponding axis on the gShield by rotating the dial clockwise (increase current). WARNING: Potentiometers are delicate.

  • When upgrading from the Arduino/gShield to the X-Controller and not replacing the wires, the Y-Axis Potentiometer will need to be adjusted. You can find those instructions here: https://x-carve-instructions.inventables.com/upgrade/step3/1assembly/
