Unfortunately, it is not possible to upgrade a ShapeOko 2 to the current model of the X-Carve without first upgrading to the X-Carve 2015 model. Here are the components you will want to purchase from our site in order to upgrade your ShapeOko 2 to a 500mm X-Carve 2015 model:

If you want to upgrade your machine to the new X-Carve style, you can buy the individual components listed in the Upgrade Kit (or you can just buy the upgrade kit depending on whether or not you buy the 2 rails for your x-axis gantry or the wide MakerSlide).
It is also possible to convert your ShapeOko 2 into a 1000mm X-Carve. However, there are a significant number of additional parts required to upgrade your machine to a larger size. You will need to purchase the items listed above first, and then you can buy the additional 1000mm X-Carve parts. You should have all the necessary hardware from your ShapeOko and the parts listed above, but there are additional size-specific componets required to upgrade your machine size to 1000mm.
Since you will disassemble your ShapeOko for all these upgrades, we suggest performing the steps in this order:
1. Fully convert your ShapeOko to a X-Carve 2015 model
2. a. Expand the size of your machine from the ShapeOko work area to 1000mm
2. b. Implement any X-Carve Update Kit components while expanding your machine size.
