If you are using a machine other than our own, please note any mechanical or hardware-related issue will need to be supported by your machine provider. Please ensure your machine is working before troubleshooting with Easel. Please note, making firmware changes is at your own risk. We also recommend referring to the manufacturer for instructions as they know your machine best.
If you have successfully assembled your machine but it stops moving almost as soon as you start the Carve, it may be your machine has Soft or Hard Limits enabled.
When Hard Limits are enabled and your machine approaches these limits, it enters a locked state which may require a complete restart. We do not see this issue on our machines as this setting is disabled on our machines by default.
To resolve the stopping issue, you could try disabling hard limits by changing the $21 value from Easel's Machine Inspector console.
You can open up the Machine Inspector by going to Machine > General Settings > Machine Inspector. In the Console, you can disable hard limits by typing the following command:
Press Enter. You should receive the "OK" message.
You can now exit the Machine Inspector and try carving again.
